What the search box sends for text (surrounding whitespace trimmed), always as a regex so that names holding regex metacharacters (XF:23ID1-ES{Dif-Ax:TH}Mtr) match literally: the appliance turns a pv= glob into a regex without escaping them.

• Plain text matches anywhere in the name, ignoring case: sine finds MOCK:SINE.
• Text with * or ? is a glob matching the whole name, with case: * any run of characters, ? any one, everything else literal.
