Everything known about a PV at one moment.

Fields§

§connected: bool§value: Value§severity: Severity§status: u16§timestamp: Option<SystemTime>§units: String§precision: Option<i32>§labels: Vec<String>

Enum state labels.

§display_range: Option<(f64, f64)>§control_range: Option<(f64, f64)>§alarm_range: Option<(f64, f64)>

Alarm (LOLO, HIHI) and warning (LOW, HIGH) limits.

§warning_range: Option<(f64, f64)>§writable: bool

Whether a write is expected to be accepted. Only meaningful as a fact when writable_known; otherwise it is an optimistic guess.

§writable_known: bool

Whether the server told us writable. PV Access has no per-channel access rights, so for it this stays false: writes are allowed but may be refused by the server, and write_error then says so.

§write_error: Option<String>

Why the last write failed, until one succeeds.

§error: Option<String>

Why the PV cannot connect, if the backend knows.

Implementations§

Source§

impl PvState

Source

pub fn format(&self, precision: Option<i32>, with_units: bool) -> String

Format the value as text. precision overrides the PV’s own precision.

Source

pub fn range(&self) -> Option<(f64, f64)>

Display limits, falling back to the control limits, if set (low < high).
